Pocket Change

A little Canadian cash I've been squirrelling away in case I need a genuine Tim Horton's or poutine fix.

Oh My Goodness, I'm Moving To Bismarck North Dakota

I've never even been to Bismarck.

I have at least been to North Dakota though, or at least through it on road trips with the family.  Twice even. In the Summer.  I mean, it's mandatory you take the family to Rugby.  It is the geographic center of North America after all.  And Minot was nice, especially the Norwegian Heritage Center.  Don't linger though, there's hillier and more forested places to see.

But Bismarck.  My sole knowledge of Bismarck is from quizing the kids on States Capitals.  Bismarck North Dakota.  It's a unique name somehow, and easy to remember.  "Fruit of my loins", I'd bellow, "what is the capital of North Dakota?", knowing it's Bismarck because, well, Bismarck just somehow stuck in my mind. It sounds so foreign and distant.  Because it is.

I never thought I'd live here, or there I should say.   I'm still a week and a half  from leaving and still pondering what necessities are needed to survive on my own here, or there I mean.  I'm told they put a (-) sign in front of their winter temperatures. Barbaric.  Curse you California economy.

God have mercy on my soul, I'm moving to Bismarck.

I jest of course.*
